At Vestige Furniture Studio, eco-responsibility begins with us.
We believe the most sustainable furniture is built to last - crafted with care, used often, and kept for generations. Our approach focuses on reducing impact through thoughtful design and material choice, and then on contributing where we can.
Our materials are chosen thoughtfully and with sustainability in mind. We use penetrating oils and other finishes, avoiding heavy synthetic coatings and supporting long-term use. Our epoxy is plant-based, reducing the reliance on petroleum-based products. Each slab is selected for quality and character. We work with trusted suppliers such as Goby Walnut, a company known for its responsible forestry and material transparency.
Stewardship in Every Piece
Our pieces are made with longevity in mind - from joinery to finish. Furniture that lasts reduces the need for replacement, minimizing waste over time.
To acknowledge the materials our work depends on, we partner with One Tree Planted to support global reforestation. Every completed project allows us to give our monthly donation, where a tree is planted on behalf of the furniture built, and a certificate is provided to mark the contribution. This is not a solution on its own - but a small step toward giving back to the ecosystems that make our work possible.
As a faith-driven studio, we view stewardship of the land as a responsibility- one that is shaped by our values and our work. We see our role not simply as makers, but as caretakers of the resources we use.
